This book has added immeasurably to my understanding and enjoyment of digital photography and photo-editing, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in exploring all the possibilities that this medium has to offer.. I mix my morning shake and plan my day while listening to soothing music. Cooper's bio of Effie will move you, educate you, and give you something to think about. Effie's story is charmingly told and you really feel as if the author has got inside 'the head' of Effie (she did, after all, have exclusive access to Effie's most intimate correspondence). I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled this out of the box! It is so much nicer than I had expected it to be. I find this 150 pages book(let) an excellent introduction to OHSAS 18001 auditing. I really felt for the characters and all they had to go through - especially Friedrick. Intriguingly, whilst set in an (unmapped) secondary world, there is no magic or mysticism in the novel at all, but this lack is barely felt.As for criticisms, the tight focus on Basso means we don't get much of a sense of the Republic or the wider world beyond his own views on it, but that's the point of the story, I suppose.
